Abstract In this work, the impact of cone diameters on flow field and separation efficiency in a cyclone separator is examined numerically employing Reynolds Stress Model for eight various geometries separators. The motion solid particle modelled utilizing Eulerian-Lagrangian method. Three-dimensional simulation air with particles carried out by commercial computational fluid dynamics software, ANSYS Fluent 18.2. outcomes depict that augmenting small diameter, maximum tangential velocity, static pressure, collection decrease, however, cut-off diameter rises. Moreover, axial velocity has steady trend throughout cyclone. addition, according to obtained results, increasing large causes an increase pressure improves efficiency. While, higher lower diameter. Growing cyclone’s leads decrease At constant four microns, as ratio augments 150%, declines about 10.42%. Augmentation cutoff By value increases 75%. Furthermore, rises growing 50%, 18.75%. Also, all considered decreases 57.69%.
